Update from Mrs. Hilliard, School Nurse
We encourage families to stay updated with important health information sent from the Superintendent’s Office. Please continue to communicate with our school nurse, Laura Hilliard regarding any health questions or concerns. In addition, we kindly ask that if any individual within your household tests positive for COVID that you contact her before sending your child to school. She can be contacted directly at 978-694-6026 or emailed at [email protected]
Message from Mrs. Williams, School Adjustment Counselor
While visiting your child’s classroom last month, we focused on naming and managing big feelings such as anger and fear. Students learned strategies to calm their bodies down by naming the feeling, asking for help, and using belly breaths. This month we will learn about empathy skills and discuss ways to be a kind friend. We encourage families to incorporate daily check-ins with their children and provide them an opportunity to share one kind deed they did each day! If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact me by email at [email protected] or by phone at (978) 694-6070.
Dental Health Month
This month students will be learning about the importance of good dental hygiene. Mrs. Hilliard will be visiting all classrooms and students will participate in fun activities.

Also, when dropping off or picking up your child, please be sure to park in marked parking spots and turn off your engines to reduce the amount of unnecessary air pollution near our building. Thank you!

When you leave a message, please be sure to include the room number and the reason for your child’s absence. Remember, your child needs to be symptom-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before they return to school after an illness.

Information will be available on the Wilmington Public School website, Twitter, and local news outlets if inclement weather causes any disruption to our regularly scheduled school day. In addition, families will receive an automated telephone call. If there is a delayed opening, all AM preschool sessions are canceled. If your child attends the full-day preschool program, they would attend the PM session beginning at 11:05 am.
