 Spirit Days
As we count down the last few weeks of this school year, don’t forget about our fun spirit days! We encourage all our students to participate and have fun! Preschool students will participate on Thursdays and kindergarten students will participate on Fridays!
June 3rd & 4th – Teddy Bear Picnic
June 10th & 11th – Wilmington Pride Day
June 17th & 18th – Island Day

Visit from the Shawsheen School
On June 8th staff members from the Shawsheen School will be visiting our current kindergarten students to talk about the school and what to expect as they transition to first grade. A presentation will be conducted in each classroom and students will receive a coloring book to bring home. For our remote students, families can pick up the coloring book at the front office on the afternoon of June 8th or contact Mrs. Walsh to schedule a different pick-up date.

Fun in the Sun Celebration – June 10th
This year all our students will be participating in a modified version of our traditional Field Day.  On June 10th (rain date 6/15) we will enjoy a Fun in the Sun Celebration. Due to the modified events and schedule, we will not require parent volunteers this year. A parent letter will be sent to all families on June 3rd with additional details. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled day!

Return of Learning Materials – Remote Families
For our students enrolled in the remote kindergarten classroom, all learning materials need to be returned to the school on June 21st between 10:30 am – 2:00 pm or on June 22nd between 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Lost and Found
For the remainder of the year, our Lost & Found bin will be placed outside by the front entrance. If your child has lost an article of clothing or a personal item, please check inside the box. All items remaining after June 22nd will be donated. Thank you!

Next Year Teacher Assignment
As a reminder, next year’s teacher will not be listed on the final report card.  This practice was adopted last year and this will be the practice moving forward. In early August, parents and guardians will receive an email with instructions on how to access classroom teacher assignments in Aspen.

Upcoming Dates to Remember
June 8th – Visit from Shawsheen School
June 10th – Fun in the Sun Celebration
June 15th – Fun in the Sun Celebration Rain Date
June 21st – Last Day of School – Dismissal for all students at 10:15 am

Thank You from Mrs. Walsh
 >The end of the year is quickly approaching and it seems like yesterday we began this journey together. I want to thank you all for the support and patience shown throughout this past year. We were faced with many challenges, yet despite it all, we had many successes and our students continued to shine! They have grown into thoughtful learners full of curiosity, determination, and motivation. Each day, they entered our building with a smile behind their mask, a twinkle in their eye, and a story to make us laugh. They taught us what was truly important in life… being happy, healthy, kind, and spending time with those who bring out the best in us!

In addition, I would like to thank all the staff and recognize their hard work, dedication, and willingness to go above and beyond for our students. They have taught our students so many skills that will serve them well for years to come.
Finally, I wish our kindergarten students and families moving onto first grade the best of luck next year! For our preschool students and families, I look forward to seeing you again in September. Wishing you all a wonderful summer filled with fun adventures!

Many thanks,
Mrs. Walsh
