Our preschool lottery was conducted the week of April 26th. All families have been notified of their child’s status. If you were chosen in the lottery, please be sure to send in the deposit. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Buco at [email protected]. 

 

If you would like your child to wear sunscreen while outdoors and during recess, it must be applied at home before your child comes to school. Teachers are unable to apply sunscreen for students. Also, please pack your child an additional water bottle. As the temperatures begin to rise, students will be encouraged to drink more fluids to remain hydrated.

 

Although the annual WPS Art show is not able to take place the traditional way this year, the Virtual Art Show premieres on Friday, May 28th. The link to this online event will be sent to all families before opening night! Be sure to check out the wonderful artwork created by students. We hope you will join us! 

 

On Tuesday, June 8th Mrs. King, Principal, and Mr. Welch, Assistant Principal from the Shawsheen School will be visiting our kindergarten students at the Boutwell! They will visit classrooms, meet students, share a video, and answer any questions students have about moving up to the Shawsheen School next year! This visit is replacing the traditional “Move Up Day” we have done in the past. 

 

Our students will be participating in various themed spirit days each week for the remainder of the school year. We encourage all students to participate, show their pride and have fun! A detailed notice was sent home to families. Preschool students will participate on Thursdays and kindergarten students will participate on Fridays.

• June 10th/11th – Wilmington Pride Day

If you have clothing, shoes, stuffed animals, etc. you would like to donate, you may place them in the WEF clothing and shoe bin located at the driveway of the school. Please make sure your donations are in bags. For every ton, the WEF will receive $100 that will support educational opportunities for all students.

The staff would like to thank the Boutwell PAC and the parent volunteers who painted various activities on our driveway for students to use during recess. Students are enjoying the bunny hop, mirror me, and activity track! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
